This page is dedicated for you to learn how to implement ECHO at your organization.

Start Your Own ECHO Program

Step 1: Explore

Learn about Project ECHO by visiting the University of New Mexico Project ECHO website. It is important to understand the ECHO Model® to determine if it is right for your needs.

Join the University of New Mexico’s monthly Introduction to ECHO, a 90-minute video conference with Project ECHO founder Dr. Sanjeev Arora here. This is the first step in deciding whether the ECHO Model can work for your local needs and resources.

You can set up a 1:1 meeting with our ECHO team to assess if ECHO is a good fit for your organization by emailing us at echo@cancer.org

Step 2: Partner

Once you have decided that you want to build your own ECHO Program, the next step is entering into a partnership with the ECHO Institute at the UNM. These agreements are prepared for and signed at the institutional level (CEO/legal counsel) between your organization and UNM. Signing partnership agreements is a prerequisite to taking any additional steps to become an ECHO Partner.

You can complete an online request for a Project ECHO Partnership Agreement here. Please select the American Cancer Society as your Superhub when you complete the request form.

Step 3: Train

After signing the partnership agreement, the next step is to attend our Partner Launch Training. Trainings are held quarterly. During this training, you will take a deep dive into the ECHO model where your organization will be equipped with the knowledge and information necessary to build, launch, and sustain a successful ECHO Program.

Please send an email to echo@cancer.org to inquire about the upcoming Partner Launch trainings and events schedule.

Step 4: Launch

After Partner Launch Training, you will apply what you learned during the training to design and launch your ECHO program. The ACS ECHO Superhub team is here to support you along the way providing technical assistance and mentorship throughout the journey of building and sustaining your ECHO program. There are several opportunities available to continue to leverage the expertise of our Superhub and connect with other hub partners. Together, we can bring best-practice care to local communities across the globe.

STAY CONNECTED

We are here to provide ongoing support throughout your ECHO journey and beyond through trainings, 1:1 consultations, and quarterly collaborative calls.
