Improving Colorectal Cancer Screening Rates in AZ – The Community Health Worker’s Role ECHO

The overall goal of this ECHO Program is to increase colorectal cancer (CRC) screening rates within rural and underserved communities in Arizona by:
1) educating Community Health Workers (CHWs) on the importance of CRC screening;
2) identifying the role of the CHW in educating patients and the community;
3) empowering the CHWs to help spread awareness and improve screening rates
This program has six monthly, hour-long sessions between January and June 2024.
